MitakeSearch
ご承知のとおり、この「WS30の世界」というサイトには、Namazuを使った全文検索ソフトを実装しております。Namazuは「形態素解析」を利用する全文検索エンジンの中では最もよく知られたもので、形態素解析用プログラムにもKakashiやChasenなどが用意され、官公庁や自治体、国立国会図書館を始め、一般企業のサイトでも広範囲に使われています。
ところが、最近の全文検索システムは形態素解析ではなく「N-gram」という手法が一種の流行になってます。辞書を必要としないし、インデックス化作業にかかる時間も非常に短い。そして検索漏れがない点がメリットです。
このN-gramを採用した全文検索エンジンは、商用、非商用合わせて非常にたくさんあるのですが、オープンソースのフリーウェアとしては「HyperEestraier」が知られています。で、実際に手許にあったサーバー（Fedora Core4）にHyperEestraierをインストールして検索精度や検索結果を見てみたんですが…、どうも検索結果が不自然で気にいらない。入力した検索語句が短い場合、意図しない文書が多くヒットします。例えば、「タイ」と検索すると、「タイプ」、「タイム」、「タイヤ」とマッチしてしまうわけです。また、ありえない文字の羅列でもヒットします。例えば、「オデッキ」で「ビデオデッキ」がヒットするなど、やはり違和感があります。それに、テキストとHTMLしか検索できません。
そんなわけで、他に何か手ごろなN-gram方式の検索エンジンはないかと探して見ました。同じフリーウェアなら「RAST」が有名ですが、いまいち情報が少なく使いにくそうです。もっと使いやすいものを…と思っていたら、ありました。有名な商用全文検索エンジン「MitakeSearch」にフリーライセンス版があり、日本HP社のサイトからダウンロードできます。検索対象ファイル数が1万ファイルまでという制限以外は、製品版と同じ機能を持つものです。MitakeSearchなら、テキスト、HTMLはむろん、Microsoft Office製品、PDF、XMLなどのドキュメント、さらにはJPEG画像やMP3など多彩なファイル形式を検索可能です。N-gramに加えて独自の自然言語処理を行っているため、検索精度も高いとのことです。
このMitakeSearchを、サイト内全文検索ソフトとしてインストールしてみました。トップページで検索結果を試してみてください。
参考までに、MitakeSearchのサーバーへのインストール手順を書いておきます。
■下記のファイルをダウンロードする
・MitakeSearch(フリーライセンス版)
（http://h50146.www5.hp.com/products/software/internet/mitake/download/）
Windows 2000/XP版、Linux/Intel版、Tru64 UNIX版、Linux/Alpha版の4種類がダウンロード可能。今回はLinux/Intel版を使用した。
■ファイルをインストールする。
Rpmパッケージになっているので、下記のコマンドだけでインストールが終了する。
rpm -i MitakeSearch-4.2-1.i386.rpm
MitakeSearchは「/home/MitakeSearch/」にインストールされる。
■MitakeSearchの設定
・インストールされたMitakeSearchのcgiプログラム
（「/home/MitakeSearch/mitake400/cgi/cgi-bin/」の中のファイル）を、ドキュメントルート以下の適当なフォルダにコピーする。
・アイコン画像ファイル（「/home/MitakeSearch/mitake400/cgi/icons/」）を、 「/var/www/icons」フォルダにコピーする。
・ブラウザから、上記過程でコピーした「mitake.pl」にアクセスし（例：
http://192.168.1.10/mitake/mitake.pl）、画面が正常に表示されることを確認する。
・次に、「/home/MitakeSearch/mitake400/cgi/admin/admin.pl」を、ドキュメントルート以下の適当なファイルにコピーする。
・必要に応じて、上記admin.plに対してセキュリティ設定を行う（ファイルのリネー
ム、.htaccessの設定など）。
・ブラウザから、上記過程でコピーした「admin.pl」にアクセスし（例：
http://192.168.1.10/mitake/admin/admin.pl）、画面が正常に表示されることを確認する。
・/home/MitakeSearch/sbin/mi-schedule2 と入力し、スケジューラー2デーモンを起動する。
■インデックスを作成する
・ブラウザから「admin.pl」にアクセスし、管理画面を表示させる。
・「サブメニュー」→「新規サービス作成」を開き、サービス名 (ASCII)、サービス名、ホスト、ポート番号の各欄を入力し、「サービス作成」ボタンを押す。
・「サービスメニュー画面」→「新規スケジュール作成」画面で、タイプに「ローカルイン
デクサ」を選択して「次へ」ボタンを押す。
・スケジュール作成画面で、「top」欄に、インデックスの対象となるファイルの場所をディレクトリで指定する（例：/var/www/html/）
・「サービスメニュー画面」→「URLマップ編集」画面で、インデックスの対象となるファ
イルのディレクトリを、URLに置き換える設定を行う。
（例：file://ns.servername/var/www/html/ ⇒ http://192.168.1.10）。
・「サービスメニュー画面」→「スケジュール1」→「インデクシング開始」をクリックす
ると、インデックス化作業が始まる。
